Gasoline and oil prices today 4: 3: Sharp increase, to 14-month high

World oil prices today

World gasoline and oil prices are on a very strong upward trend. At the end of yesterday's trading session (March 3), WTI and Brent oil prices increased by 4.76% and 5.13% respectively. In recent sessions, both oil commodities have increased very strongly, in which Brent oil price has reached the highest level since January 2025, WTI oil has reached the highest level since June 2025.

By today's session, world oil prices continued to increase sharply, at 12:54 (Vietnam time), WTI oil price was at 75.86 USD/barrel, up 1.30 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 1.74%. WTI oil closed the previous trading session at 74.56 USD/barrel; and opened the weekend session at 74.94 USD/barrel.

Brent oil was at 83 USD/barrel, up 1.69 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 1.97%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at a price of 81.40 USD/barrel; and opened today's session at a price of 81.88 USD/barrel.

Domestic gasoline prices today

March 4th, retail gasoline and oil prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in region 1 and region 2 are as follows:

The retail price of gasoline and oil in the country mentioned above will be adjusted by the inter-Ministry of Industry and Trade - Finance from 3 pm on February 20, 2025.

Accordingly, E5RON92 gasoline increased by 889 VND/liter; RON95 gasoline increased by 999 VND/liter; diesel oil increased by 754 VND/liter; kerosene increased by 854 VND/liter; mazut oil decreased by 173 VND/kg.

Domestic gasoline and oil price forecast for the next period

According to a representative of a gasoline and oil business, domestic gasoline and oil prices will fluctuate according to the world gasoline and oil situation. According to current market developments, it is predicted that in the next price adjustment period, retail gasoline and oil prices may increase sharply.

In which:

- RON 95 - III gasoline increased by about 1,970 VND/liter;

- E5 RON 92 - II gasoline increased by about 1,780 VND/liter;

- Diesel oil increased by about 3, 220 VND/liter.
