Today's gasoline price September 9: World gasoline prices decreased simultaneously. WTI crude oil is trading around 64 USD/barrel; Brent oil is at 66 USD/barrel.

World oil price today

Today's gasoline prices all decreased. At 10:48 (Vietnam time), WTI crude oil was at 64.53 USD/barrel, down 0.05 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.08%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at 84.58 USD/barrel, opening today's session at 64.82 USD/barrel.

Brent oil was at 66.41 USD/barrel, down 0.06 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.09%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 66.47 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 66.65 USD/barrel.

Thus, world oil prices in the first trading session of the week decreased slightly, after a strong increase last week.

According to analysts, the main factor pressuring oil prices today is the policy of increasing output of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies (OPEC+), in the context of consumer demand in the market showing no signs of a strong recovery. OPEC+ has increased its total output by about 1.37 million barrels/day since April 2025. In July alone, the organization announced an increase of 411,000 boxes/day.

Domestic gasoline prices today

On June 9, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 (46 provinces and cities are applying) are as follows:

The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil has been adjusted according to the price of the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade jointly announced in the price management session on the afternoon of June 5, 2025. Accordingly, domestic gasoline prices have increased simultaneously. E5 RON 92 gasoline price increased by 67 VND/liter, RON 95-III gasoline increased by 133 VND/liter, diesel price increased by 284 VND/liter, kerosene increased by 176 VND/liter. However, mazut oil prices decreased by 86 VND/kg.

The discount levels of gasoline products today, June 9, at some domestic gasoline trading enterprises are as follows:

Hoang Trong General Trading Company Limited: Hai Linh warehouse, Navy: Diesel 0.05S - II: 1,150 VND/liter, RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,150 VND/liter; Bac Ninh warehouse: Diesel 0.05S - II: 1,000 VND/liter, RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,000 VND/liter; Nghi Son warehouse: Diesel 0.05S - II: 1,200 VND/liter, RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,200 VND/liter; Dinh Vu warehouse, Petec: 1,050 VND/liter, RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,100 VND/liter, E5 RON 92 - II gasoline: 1,100 VND/liter.

Tu Luc Petroleum: Diesel discount 0.05S-II: 1,150 VND/liter; Diesel 0.001S-V: 1,000; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,150; E5 gasoline: 1,150 VND/liter.

MIPEC Petroleum: RON 95 - III Petroleum Discount: VND 1,000/liter; E5 Petroleum: VND 950/liter; Diesel 0.05S-II: VND 1,150/liter. Applicable to the Northern region.

Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period

According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price adjustment period, retail prices of gasoline may have opposite adjustments.

In particular, the price of RON 95 - III gasoline is forecast to increase by about 30 VND/liter; E5 RON 92 - II gasoline decreases by 30 VND/liter; Diesel increases by about 100-150 VND/liter.
