World oil price today
Today's gasoline prices all decreased. At 10:09 (Vietnam time), WTI crude oil was at 62.62 USD/barrel, down 0.23 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.37%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at 62.85 USD/barrel, opening today's session at 62.72 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 64.75 USD/barrel, down 0.11 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.17%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 84.84 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 64.85 USD/barrel.
Thus, world oil prices are in a reversal trend down. After previous strong increases, at the end of yesterday's trading session (September 5), WTI crude oil and Brent crude oil unexpectedly decreased sharply, with decreases of 0.9% and 1.2%, respectively.
According to analysts, oil prices turned to decrease sharply due to the US gasoline and diesel inventories increasing more than expected, while the consumption outlook was pressured by trade tensions and plans to increase production of the Oil Exporting Countries and neighboring countries (OPEC +).
Domestic gasoline prices today
On June 5, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 (46 provinces and cities are applying) are as follows:
The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil has been adjusted according to the price of the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade jointly announced in the price management session on the afternoon of May 29, 2025. Accordingly, petroleum products have adjusted in opposite directions with slight increases in gasoline prices and decreases in oil prices.
E5 RON 92 gasoline price increased by 74 VND/liter, RON 95-III gasoline increased by 33 VND/liter, diesel price decreased by 269 VND/liter, kerosene decreased by 206 VND/liter and mazut oil decreased by 248 VND/kg.

Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the price adjustment period this afternoon, retail prices of gasoline may increase simultaneously.
Of which, RON 95 - III gasoline price is forecast to increase by about 130 VND/liter; E5 RON 92 - II gasoline increases by about 60 VND/liter; Diesel increases by about 280 VND/liter.
