World oil price today
At the end of a trading week, WTI crude oil was at 60.79 USD/barrel last weekend, increasing to 64.58 USD/barrel this weekend. Overall last week, WTI crude oil increased by 3.79 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 6.2% compared to last week.
Brent oil was at 62.78 USD/barrel last weekend, increasing to 66.47 USD/barrel this weekend. Overall last week, Brent oil increased by 3.69 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 5.9% compared to last week.
Thus, after two consecutive weeks of price declines, world oil prices suddenly increased sharply last week.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On June 8, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 (46 provinces and cities are applying) are as follows:
The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil has been adjusted according to the price of the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade jointly announced in the price management session on the afternoon of June 5, 2025. Accordingly, domestic gasoline prices increased simultaneously. E5 RON 92 gasoline price increased by 67 VND/liter, RON 95-III gasoline increased by 133 VND/liter, diesel price increased by 284 VND/liter, kerosene increased by 176 VND/liter. However, mazut oil prices decreased by 86 VND/kg.

Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price adjustment period, retail prices of gasoline may increase.
In particular, the price of RON 95 - III gasoline is forecast to increase by about 30-50 VND/liter; E5 RON 92 - II gasoline increases by about 50 VND/liter; Diesel increases by about 100 - 200 VND/liter.
