Hanoi tightens food safety management during the Mid-Autumn Festival

The Hanoi People's Committee has just issued a request to tighten food management to ensure safety during the 2025 Mid-Autumn Festival.

The plan aims to inspect and evaluate compliance with food safety laws (FS) at food production and trading establishments for the Mid-Autumn Festival across the city; promptly detect, prevent and handle violations, protect people's health. At the same time, evaluate the direction and enhancement of responsibility of all levels and sectors in food safety management. The implementation period is from August 15, 2025 to October 10, 2025, in 126 communes and wards.

Inspection activities focus on strengthening propaganda and education to raise awareness and practice for producers, traders, as well as food consumers during the Mid-Autumn Festival.

The content of the propaganda is aimed at target groups such as: food production establishments, especially establishments producing moon cakes and candy; and consumers, with regulations on hygiene conditions, origin of raw materials, labeling, and preservation of cakes; at the same time, warnings about the risk of cakes and cakes, expiration.
