fabric harvest season
This year, the lychee harvest season in Hai Duong is expected to start harvesting from May 20, in which lychee tea will be harvested early from May 20 to June 10, with the peak season falling from May 25 to June 5.
According to many farmers, this year's fabric is in good harvest, and the estimated output will reach a high level. This brings an exciting atmosphere to the farming community, as fabric gardens are urgently completing preparations to export the board to domestic and foreign markets.
White egg tuyue, one of the specialty hayuanese fabrics, has begun to be harvested from some gardens in Thanh Ha district. This is a type of fabric with outstanding quality, and especially has the earliest harvest time of the season. Due to low output, white egg tuyus fabric is always priced higher than the main season fabric.
According to information from farming households, many familiar customers have pre-ordered at VND100,000/kg, about VND40,000/kg higher than the main season's banh da.
In order to ensure the quality of seaweed when exported, communes in Hai Duong province have recommended that people harvest the fabric to the right ripening level to maintain the highest quality. This not only helps increase product value but also contributes to meeting the strict requirements of the international market.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hien - Director of the Agricultural Service Cooperative of Thanh Quang commune (Thanh Ha district) - said: "We always strive to bring the best products to domestic and foreign consumers.
Hai Duong Seaweed has become a famous brand and this year, we will continue to maintain the quality of the product to meet the requirements of export markets".

Developing the Hai Duong seaweed brand
To support the export of seaweed in 2025, the Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection of Hai Duong province has proactively coordinated closely with specialized agencies in implementing activities to support farmers.
Specifically, technical instructions for fabric production have been organized regularly, while strengthening inspection and supervision of fabric care and disease prevention activities. Functional units are also focusing on supporting the expansion of fabric areas that meet VietGAP and GlobalGAP safety standards, in order to increase the value and ensure the quality of exported products.
Certifying seaweed to meet VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards will be an important factor in helping Hai Duong seaweed products conquer the international market, meeting the increasingly strict requirements of importing countries. These efforts not only create economic benefits for farmers but also contribute to the development of the Hai Duong seaweed brand in the global market.
With continuous efforts in garden care, quality control and expansion of production areas to meet international standards, Hai Duong is preparing for a successful season of seaweed for export.
These steps not only help increase the value of seaweed products but also open up great opportunities for the province's agriculture to develop sustainably in the future.
