Faced with the situation of insecurity and disorder at a number of medical examination and treatment facilities, the People's Committee of Hai Duong province has just issued a document directing departments, branches and localities to synchronously deploy solutions to ensure the safety of patients and medical staff across the province.
In recent times, the work of protecting safety in the medical environment has been effectively implemented by all levels, sectors, especially the health sector and the police force. However, some complicated cases still occurred, affecting medical examination and treatment activities, patient psychology and the image of the medical team.
Facing that fact, Chairman of Hai Duong People's Committee requested the Department of Health to urgently direct health facilities to strictly implement the law, constantly improve the quality of medical examination and treatment and mental and attitude to serve the people. In particular, it is necessary to implement solutions to ensure security and safety according to the guidance of the Ministry of Health in Official Letter No. 2808/BYT-KCB dated 11.5.2025.
The provincial police and local authorities are assigned to closely coordinate with the health sector, ensure security and order at medical examination and treatment facilities, promptly handle violations of the law, disturbing public order, assaulting medical staff, etc.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Duong province will coordinate with relevant units to promote the dissemination of laws on security and order in the health sector; mobilize people to comply with hospital regulations, enhance the spirit of cooperation, behave civilly, create a safe and healthy medical examination and treatment environment.
Resolutely directing from the Provincial People's Committee is expected to contribute to improving the effectiveness of protecting and caring for people's health, while creating conditions for medical staff to work with peace of mind, promoting their role in the cause of community health care.
