According to records at Ho Thi Ky flower market - one of the largest wholesale flower markets in Ho Chi Minh City, in the days leading up to the Lunar New Year, mini peach blossoms are being displayed for sale by small traders, with abundant supply. This year, mini Nhat Tan peach blossoms and Northwest wild peach blossoms account for the majority, serving the early Tet celebration needs of people.
The price of mini peach blossoms currently ranges from 150,000-600,000 VND/branch, depending on size and shape, common height is about 70-90 cm. Especially, peach blossom branches with a huyền shape, elaborately bent, are priced at about 1.2 million VND/branch. Compared to previous years, the price level is considered more comfortable right from the beginning of the season, helping buyers have more choices suitable for their budget.
I find this year's peach blossoms quite beautiful, with many buds and fresh colors. Since the beginning of December, I have bought 2 peach branches to display early for Tet. The price of flowers this year is quite soft, so I also prioritize choosing mini peach blossoms, which are affordable and still create a Tet atmosphere in the house" - Ms. Bich Hang (resident of Vuon Lai ward) buying flowers at Ho Thi Ky market, shared.
Traders said that this year peach blossoms are transported to Ho Chi Minh City by air and container, with a fairly abundant supply. Among them, mini peach blossom branches are increasingly favored by consumers thanks to their compact size, suitable for displaying in apartments, offices... Peach blossoms have a bright pink color, thick buds; if cared for properly, the flowers can bloom evenly and maintain their color throughout Tet days.
Ms. Luu Mong Dung - a small trader at Ho Thi Ky flower market said that during Tet this year, mini peach blossoms and snow apricot blossoms are selling quite well. "Peach blossoms and snow apricot blossoms are both asked by customers to buy a lot, but peach blossom prices are usually higher. However, thanks to softer prices this year, purchasing power is generally still good," Ms. Dung said.
The price of snow apricot blossom branches currently ranges from 80,000-160,000 VND/bunch, while Northwest plum branches are priced at about 180,000 VND/10 branches. According to traders, snow apricot blossoms can last for 2-3 weeks if they are cut from the base, replaced with water regularly and placed in a place with light lighting.
In the context of abundant supply and prices maintained at a stable level, the Tet flower market is forecast to be more vibrant in the peak days near the Lunar New Year. Small traders expect purchasing power to continue to increase as people begin to complete the decoration of houses and agencies.
