Mr. Nguyen Van Dung elected Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Council

Ho Chi Minh City - After more than 2 years holding the position of Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Van Dung was re-elected by the City People's Council as Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Council.

On the morning of February 6, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council dismissed Mr. Nguyen Van Dung from the position of Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.

After dismissing Mr. Nguyen Van Dung from the position of Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, delegates of the City People's Council conducted a vote and unanimously elected Mr. Nguyen Van Dung as Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council for the term 2021 - 2026.

Mr. Nguyen Van Dung was born in 1972, formerly from Binh Chanh district (Ho Chi Minh City); holds a Bachelor of Law, Bachelor of Economics, and Advanced Political Theory degree.

Previously, in November 2023, while holding the position of Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, Mr. Nguyen Van Dung was elected by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, and then held this position for more than 2 years.

During his work, Mr. Nguyen Van Dung used to hold many leadership positions in Tan Binh and Tan Phu districts before.

In June 2016, he was elected by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council as Head of the Economic - Budget Committee. He also held the positions of Deputy Secretary of the District 1 Party Committee, Chairman of the District 1 People's Committee before.
