The shopping atmosphere is bustling, people take advantage of choosing suitable flower pots to decorate houses, agencies, and businesses.
To serve the shopping needs of the people, gardeners have proactively prepared goods early. Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, a small trader selling ornamental plants on Hoang Thi Loan street, said that this year he brought about 100 pots of five-colored flowers and paper flowers to the market.
The price of flower pots ranges from under 1 million VND/pot. Gardeners have been preparing and taking care of them for about 10 months to ensure that the flowers bloom on time for Spring, with uniform quality," Mr. Tuan said.
Recorded at the flower, ornamental plant, and handicraft business street in An Khe ward (Da Nang city), orchids, chrysanthemums, apricot blossoms, five-colored flowers, and ornamental kumquats are displayed for sale brilliantly by small traders.
Small home decoration flowers such as petunias are priced from 60,000 VND/pot; snow apricot blossoms range from 70,000 - 90,000 VND/bunch. Chrysanthemum morifolium are advertised for sale at prices from 130,000 VND/pot; small peach blossoms are priced at about 400,000 VND/tree.
Small decorative flowers such as turmeric, petunias are priced from 60,000 VND/pot, snow apricot blossoms range from 70,000 - 90,000 VND/bunch.
For high-end flower lines, phalaenopsis orchids are still chosen by many customers as Tet gifts and home decorations. A small phalaenopsis orchid pot costs from 1 - 2 million VND, depending on size and number of branches, some pots can cost up to tens of millions.
Choosing to buy many small hanging flower pots to display on Tet, Ms. Nguyen Tuyet Nga (An Khe ward, Da Nang city) said that flower prices this year have not fluctuated much.
Every year I buy flowers on Nguyen Dinh Tuu street. In my opinion, flower prices this year are quite stable, even some types are cheaper than last year. I choose jade blossoms and small hanging flower pots because they are easy to care for, can be displayed for a long time, and have brilliant and beautiful colors throughout Tet days," Ms. Nga said.
In the days leading up to Tet, Da Nang people are bustling shopping for flowers and ornamental plants to decorate houses, agencies, and businesses. The number of customers coming to flower selling points is gradually increasing, creating a vibrant trading atmosphere. Small traders expect that the closer to Tet, the purchasing power will continue to increase, and the Tet flower market will be favorable.
