Tonight, October 30, at Urban Area 5A, Phu Loi Ward, the opening ceremony of the Trade Promotion Fair for OCOP products in Can Tho City and regional specialties in 2025, the opening activity for the series of events in the Ooc Om Boc Festival - Ngo Boat Race in Can Tho City this year took place.
This year's fair attracted the participation of more than 400 booths from over 15 provinces and cities across the country, including many typical OCOP enterprises, cooperatives and entities representing different regions, from the Northern mountainous region, the Central region, the Central Highlands to the Mekong Delta.
The Organizing Committee also arranged an area to introduce new products, a 5-star OCOP product exhibition area, nationally certified products and typical products of each locality, contributing to honoring the creative values and continuous efforts of the Vietnamese business community.
According to Mr. Ha Vu Son - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Can Tho City, in the context of economic recovery, trade promotion activities continue to play an important role as a bridge, supporting businesses to restore production, expand markets and promote domestic consumption in a sustainable direction.
Mr. Son said that in the coming time, the Department of Industry and Trade will identify 3 key orientations in developing OCOP products and connecting trade, including: strengthening regional linkages, promoting the application of digital transformation in trade promotion and improving the quality and identity of OCOP products.
He hopes that through the Fair, businesses, cooperatives and OCOP entities will seek new cooperation opportunities, expand consumption markets and aim for more sustainable development in the coming time.
The fair will take place until November 5, and will be a place for people and tourists to both shop and experience the unique cultural features of the region during the Ooc Om Boc - Ngo Boat Race Festival season in Can Tho City.
