To date, Hung Yen province has 622 foreign-invested projects registered to operate, with a total registered capital of more than 8.56 billion USD. Foreign-invested projects are mainly concentrated in the fields of: High-tech industry, electronics, IT, precision mechanics, light industry, other manufacturing and trading sectors in accordance with the province's industrial development plan.

According to the Department of Planning and Investment of Hung Yen province, in 2024, Hung Yen province will attract 180 investment projects (109 domestic projects and 71 foreign projects), with a total investment capital of more than 61 trillion VND and more than 1.5 billion USD, an increase of 135% compared to 2023.
Currently, Hung Yen province has 17 planned industrial parks, with a total area of about 4,395 hectares; of which, 10 industrial parks are in operation. The industrial parks have leased about 2,596 hectares of land to implement investment projects.
Among them, many investors are large economic groups such as Hyundai, Inax, Dorco, Canon, Toto... The projects put into operation have created jobs for about 83,000 workers, contributing about 3,000 billion VND/year to the local budget.
In the Hung Yen Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 approved by the Prime Minister, one of the key tasks set by the Province is "Developing key industries, foundational industries; high-tech, modern, environmentally friendly industries, low carbon emissions. Focus on building and developing a synchronous and modern industrial ecosystem; prioritize the development of industrial parks and industrial clusters with synchronous and modern technical infrastructure; form industrial parks - urban - service areas, specialized industrial parks, high-tech industrial parks, ecological industrial parks, and supporting industrial parks.
