Hung Yen - Hung Yen is becoming a destination for many large-scale logistics projects, opening up more room for logistics development associated with industry and import-export.

Hung Yen attracts large-scale logistics projects

DHL Supply Chain (belonging to DHL Group, a German logistics group) has just started the DHL North Logistics Campus Logistics Complex at Yen My II Industrial Park, Hung Yen province. This is the first logistics project DHL has directly invested in and developed in Vietnam.

Directly connected to the Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway, the complex is conveniently accessible to Noi Bai International Airport, the center of Hanoi and Hai Phong Port. With a total investment of 1,900 billion VND, DHL North Logistics Campus is expected to become a logistics hub serving domestic distribution and international trade activities, while improving the supply chain connectivity capacity in the region.

According to Mr. Bertrand Juvigny - General Director of DHL Supply Chain Vietnam, Hung Yen is gradually becoming a strategic production and logistics center of the North. DHL North Logistics Campus is also introduced as the largest A-class logistics complex of DHL Supply Chain in Southeast Asia.

Along with DHL's project, Hung Yen is attracting more large-scale logistics projects in the country. Viettel Post Corporation (Viettel Post, stock code VTP) announced the resolution of the Board of Directors approving the investment policy for the "Viettel Hung Yen Logistics Center" project in Minh Duc Industrial Park.

The project has an area of 13.9ha, with a total investment of more than 1,500 billion VND, including costs for leasing land use rights, construction, equipment, project management, consulting, contingency, other costs and value-added tax.

Viettel Hung Yen Logistics Center is oriented to promote the strengths and logistics development orientation of Viettel Post in the period 2025-2030, build synchronous logistics infrastructure, and form a satellite logistics center serving industrial parks within a radius of 15km.

Expanding the space for logistics development

Besides projects that have been and are being implemented, Hung Yen continues to receive the attention of international logistics enterprises. In early July, YCH Group (Singapore), a leading logistics group in the Asia-Pacific region, surveyed investment in Hung Yen and exchanged with provincial leaders about logistics development cooperation opportunities.

Representatives of YCH Group expressed their desire to study investment and expand connections between Hung Yen and logistics centers in the region; and share experiences in building and operating supply chains and developing multi-modal logistics.

The Group is also interested in surveying locations suitable for the province's business development strategy and logistics planning, researching potential customer markets and cooperating in logistics human resource training.

The interest of businesses takes place in the context of Hung Yen expanding its development space and gradually completing its logistics orientation.

At the seminar on building and developing logistics services in Hung Yen in the digital age and international integration held in August, Mr. Le Quang Hoa - Vice Chairman of Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee - said that after merging with Thai Binh province from July 1, 2025, Hung Yen has an open development space, located in the center of the Red River Delta region and conveniently connected with Hanoi, Hai Phong, Bac Ninh, Ninh Binh and localities in the region.

On that basis, the province is planning and developing a system of industrial parks, high-tech parks, dry ports and logistics centers. According to the orientation to 2030, vision to 2045, Hung Yen strives to become a modern industrial province, developing economic spaces associated with industry, urban areas, services, logistics and high technology.

In this development orientation, logistics is identified by Hung Yen as one of the foundations for restructuring the economic space, connecting production with the market, industrial parks with raw material areas and consumption systems, aiming to become an integrated logistics pole and a distribution center for goods of the Red River Delta region.

From infrastructure advantages and planning orientations, Hung Yen is gradually forming a logistics ecosystem associated with regional production and supply chains.
