At noon on January 16, Mr. Vu Huong Khoa (Ba Dinh, Hanoi) took advantage of his break to have lunch with his colleagues. When paying, the Techcombank banking app reported an error, the service was temporarily interrupted. Mr. Khoa waited for nearly 30 minutes at the restaurant but in the end had to ask his colleague to transfer the money for him.
Mr. Khoa shared: "After today, I have to keep some cash on hand. I can't pay with just a few tens of thousands. It's really embarrassing."
Sharing the same sentiment with Mr. Khoa, many people commented under the latest post on the Techcombank Vietnam fanpage, complaining about the transaction interruption.
Mr. Dinh Vu (Hop Chau, Vinh Phuc) was upset because he could not make transactions during lunchtime: "Time is money, like this, we lose all customer trust. The bank needs to quickly fix the error in the system so that people can transfer money. There are so many urgent matters, not just a few."
Ms. Minh Tam (Ha Dong, Hanoi) felt that the inability to make a transaction was extremely inconvenient: "In the era of 4.0 technology, the application is like the "stone age". The delivery person logged into the app for an entire day, forcing the customer to make an appointment to apologize. Currently, ordering or buying things on the money transfer app is full of errors, unable to log in, and even if logged in, the money cannot be transferred."
The time before Tet is the time when people have many shopping and spending activities, but the fact that banks take turns reporting errors makes users feel inconvenient and dissatisfied.
