On August 21, the Management Board of Khanh Hoa Economic Zone and Industrial Park approved Bangshi Co., Ltd. (BVI) to implement the Unitex Vietnam High-Class Fabric Factory Project at Lot C7 and part of Lot C8, Du Long Industrial Park, Thuan Bac commune.
The project is granted an Investment Registration Certificate, with an area of about 3.29ha, total investment capital of about 608.7 billion VND, equivalent to 23.45 million USD.
According to the registration dossier, the project will be implemented through the economic organization expected to be established, Unitex Vietnam Co., Ltd.
The factory operates in the field of producing knitted fabrics, thoi fabrics and finishing textile products. The main products include knitted fabrics from polyester fiber mixed with spandex, nylon mixed with spandex and fabric lines serving the garment and export industries.
The factory has a designed capacity of about 10.8 million m2 of fabric/year, equivalent to 2,400 tons of products/year.
According to the registered schedule, the project is expected to start construction in October 2026, complete construction in 2027 and put into operation from December 2027.
When operating stably, the factory is expected to employ 204 workers, including 164 Vietnamese workers and 40 foreign workers. Export goods revenue is estimated at about 490 billion VND/year, equivalent to nearly 18.5 million USD/year.
According to project documents, Unitex Vietnam High-Class Fabric Factory is expected to apply Jet Dyeing technology and complete fabric in the direction of automation.
Regarding the environment, the plant is expected to invest in a wastewater treatment system with a capacity of 800m3/day and night. Wastewater from dyeing and production activities will be collected and treated before being connected to the centralized wastewater treatment system of Du Long Industrial Park according to regulations.
The project also proposes to recover a part of the treated water for reuse in production.
The addition of Unitex Vietnam High-Class Fabric Factory expands the portfolio of investment projects in the textile and garment sector in Du Long Industrial Park.
When completed and put into operation, the project is expected to contribute to increasing fabric production capacity, creating more jobs and supplementing raw material supply for the textile and garment production chain.
