On July 13, Pacific University organized the 20th International Scientific Conference on Logistics and Supply Chain Management Systems (ICLS 2026).
ICLS 2026 is one of the prestigious academic conferences in the Asia-Pacific region in the field of logistics and supply chain management, organized under the auspices of the International Federation of Logistics and SCM Systems - IFLS.
Not only is it a specialized academic forum, ICLS 2026 is also a bridge between researchers, experts, lecturers, businesses and students.
Through presentations, discussions and cooperation connections, the conference contributes to promoting exchanges on strategic operational issues, supply chain recovery capacity as well as logistics development orientations in the context of a volatile world.
According to NGND. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Thanh Phong - Rector of Pacific University, the theme of ICLS 2026 is "Silient, green and smart logistics system for a changing world".

He said that the choice of this topic stems from the actual fluctuations that the logistics sector is facing.
During the preparation for the conference, the impacts of conflicts and external breakdowns directly affected the global supply chain.
Goods are stagnant, transport routes are interrupted, many plans have to be adjusted in a short time, showing the urgent need for the adaptability and recovery of the logistics system.
Mr. Ho Thanh Phong presented a paper with the theme "Positioning Khanh Hoa in the international logistics and maritime chain: From geostrategic advantages to regional transit centers".
According to him, Khanh Hoa possesses an important geostrategic position on the international sea trade axis, along with many potentials for developing seaports, inland ports and inter-regional logistics services.
From these advantages, the locality has the opportunity to form a modern transit center, effectively connecting the South Central Coast and Central Highlands regions with international markets.
To realize that goal, he proposed that there should be close coordination between the government, businesses, investors and training institutions in developing infrastructure, high-quality human resources and a sustainable logistics ecosystem, meeting the development requirements of Khanh Hoa in the new period.
