Uong Bi Golf Course has a scale of 36 holes, on an area of 140 hectares, with a total investment of nearly 2,000 billion VND invested by Ha Long Bay Golf Course Investment Joint Stock Company. The project is being implemented in the Yen Trung lake area, in Phuong Dong ward and hereinafter Yen Tu ward.
The project consists of 3 phases, the first 18 holes are expected to be put into operation after 18 months from the date of construction; the entire project will be completed within 46 months.
When completed, the Uong Bi Golf Course project will create a highlight in terms of landscape architectural space, attracting tourists to visit and experience, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development, services, tourism and sports of Quang Ninh province.
Up to now, Quang Ninh has had 4 golf courses put into operation, of which 2 are in Ha Long City, 1 is in Mong Cai City and a new golf course has been put into operation since the beginning of the year in Dong Trieu.

According to the planning of Quang Ninh province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, Quang Ninh province will develop 22 golf courses.
The People's Committee of Quang Ninh province has recently approved a list of projects to attract non-budgetary investment in the period of 2025 - 2030, including 9 large golf courses.
Among these is a project with Cam Pha golf course, Quang Hanh ward, with a planned area of about 120 hectares, with an investment capital of 2,500 billion VND.
Ha Loan Island Golf Course, Cong Hoa Ward, Cam Pha City, planned area of over 951ha, capital of 1,200 billion VND.
Tien Yen Golf Course, Dong Xa Commune, Tien Yen District, with a planned area of 270 hectares and a capital of VND2,500 billion.
