Among them is the Cam Pha Golf Course Project, located in Quang Hanh Ward. According to the People's Committee of Cam Pha City, the planned area of this golf course is about 120 hectares, located north of National Highway 18. The goal of the project is to build a golf course that meets international standards, creating a driving force to attract investors and tourists to Cam Pha. The total investment of the project is about 2,500 billion VND.
The current status of the Cam Pha golf course planning area is production forest land, low hills, located in the central urban area of Ha Long; in the resort tourism development area in Quang Hanh ward; convenient in connecting with the main traffic axes of the provinces and cities in the Northern region (Hanoi - Hai Phong - Mong Cai expressway), near National Highway 18A and on National Highway 279.
The second golf course project is the Ha Loan Island golf course project, located in Cong Hoa commune, Cam Pha city. With this project, Cam Pha city proposed to call for foreign direct investment to build an international standard golf course. The area and investment capital are proposed by the investor but are within the total 951.5 hectares of land reserved for city development.
The current status of this area is residential area, hills, aquaculture ponds.
Both of the above golf course projects are included in the Golf Course Planning in the Quang Ninh Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, approved by the Prime Minister under Decision No. 80/QD-TTg dated February 11, 2023 and are included in related planning of Cam Pha City.
According to the Quang Ninh Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, it is expected that Quang Ninh will have 16 more golf courses serving sports and tourism, bringing the total number of golf courses in this locality to 20 golf courses.
Currently, Quang Ninh has 3 golf courses in use, including: FLC Ha Long Golf Course, Tuan Chau Golf Course, Mong Cai International Golf Course. Dong Trieu Golf Course, Dong Trieu City is also preparing to be put into operation, while Ha Long Xanh Golf Course (Ha Long City) and Ao Tien Golf Course (Van Don District) are being implemented.
16 newly planned golf courses include: An Bien golf course (Ha Long), golf courses in coal mine restoration areas (Ha Long), Cam Pha golf course, Cai Bau hilly golf course (Van Don district), Ngoc Vung island golf course (Van Don district), Quan Lan island golf course (Van Don district), Uong Bi golf course (Bac Son ward, Uong Bi city), Uong Bi golf course (Phuong Dong ward, Uong Bi city), Tien Yen golf course (Tien Yen district), Binh Ngoc - Tra Co golf course (Mong Cai city), Vinh Trung - Vinh Thuc golf course (Mong Cai city), Cai Chien golf course (Hai Ha district), Dam Ha golf course (Dam Ha district), Binh Lieu golf course (Binh Lieu district).
