On September 8, the State Audit of Region IV held a conference to announce the Decision on auditing the construction activities, management and capital use of the Linking and connecting route project, connecting the provinces of Thai Nguyen - Bac Giang - Vinh Phuc (now connecting the provinces of Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh and Phu Tho).
The audit's objective is to confirm the truthfulness and reasonableness of financial information and data. Evaluate compliance with the law, economic efficiency, effectiveness and efficiency in managing and using public capital and assets of the project. At the same time, the audit also aims to point out limitations and shortcomings to propose rectifying and perfecting mechanisms and policies.
The scope of audit is from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2025 and related periods. The audit location is at the Thai Nguyen Province Traffic and Agricultural Construction Investment Project Management Board.
Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Loan emphasized that the province will direct relevant agencies and units to seriously absorb and implement audit recommendations. The locality will consider this an important basis for improving budget efficiency and promoting sustainable socio-economic development.
Thai Nguyen committed to creating favorable conditions, and at the same time requested relevant units to closely coordinate so that the audit team can successfully complete its tasks.
The Thai Nguyen - Bac Giang - Vinh Phuc regional connecting road project started construction in mid-2022 with a total investment of more than VND 4,200 billion.
The project is 42km long. The starting point of the route is in Pho Yen city (old) and ends at the intersection with Provincial Road 261 (Dai Tu).
