The Ring Road 2.5 project sections: Dich Vong - Duong Dinh Nghe New Urban Area; Vu Pham Ham - Tran Duy Hung; Nguy Nhu Kon Tum - Nguyen Trai were started on March 20, implemented according to an emergency order.
Section 1: Dich Vong - Duong Dinh Nghe new urban area, about 0.71 km long, 50 m cross-section in Cau Giay ward, Yen Hoa ward (starting point at Dich Vong new urban area; ending point on Duong Dinh Nghe street).
Section 2: Vu Pham Ham - Tran Duy Hung, about 0.6 km long, cross-section 40 m in Yen Hoa ward (starting point at the Mac Thai Tong - Vu Pham Ham intersection; ending point at the Tran Duy Hung - Hoang Dao Thuy intersection).
Section 3: Nguy Nhu Kon Tum - Nguyen Trai, about 0.95km long, 40m cross-section in Thanh Xuan ward (starting point at the intersection of Hoang Dao Thuy - Nguy Nhu Kon Tum streets; ending point at Nguyen Trai street).
The project includes 4 component projects, including 3 component projects for site clearance (GPMB) and a component project for construction investment.
The project has a total estimated investment of about 8.402 billion VND, from the city budget. Project implementation progress in 2026.
The Hanoi Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (the investor) has provided information on the progress of site clearance, temporary residence, and resettlement of the urgent Ring Road 2.5 project as of April 17.

The section of Dich Vong - Duong Dinh Nghe New Urban Area (Cau Giay and Yen Hoa wards), in Cau Giay ward, still needs site clearance of 0.57 ha (including 0.17 ha of residential land, 0.48 ha of agricultural land, public land).
A total of 96 people are using land (104 options), including 2 organizations and 94 individuals.
25 plans have been mobilized for handover, including 23 households and 2 organizations (Tu Liem Company/agricultural land that has been compensated for site clearance and road and ditch land area managed by the Ward People's Committee): 2.65/3.22 ha (reaching 82%).
In Yen Hoa ward, the recovered land area is 4,580.2 m2/86 cases (including 2 organizations/1,521.8 m2; 84 households, individuals/3,058.4 m2).
Total resettlement is about 100 plots/5,370 m2 (Cau Giay); 48 plots/2,815 m2 (Yen Hoa).
The City People's Committee approves the allocation of sufficient resettlement fund for Cau Giay ward and Yen Hoa ward in the planning area coded F/NO3 (area of about 1.69 ha), Phu Dien ward (Document No. 732/UBND-NNMT dated February 15, 2026 of the City People's Committee).
Temporary residence fund: 150 apartments in area N01D17 Cau Giay new urban area; The remaining are at CT5A, 5B, 6A, 6B, 6C Xuan Phuong ward.
Section Vu Pham Ham - Tran Duy Hung (Yen Hoa ward), the land area to be recovered is 26,103.5 m2/283 cases (including: 3 organizations/10,490 m2; 280 households and individuals/15,613.5 m2).
The resettlement demand is 246 plots, about 15,030 m2. The City People's Committee approved the arrangement of resettlement in the planned area coded GS1-1, Thuong Cat ward, with a land area of about 5.7 ha.

The section from Nguy Nhu Kon Tum - Nguyen Trai (Thanh Xuan ward) still needs land clearance of 2.68/3.9 hectares.
54/472 plans have been approved, and 418 plans have been publicly waiting for approval.
The total number of households expected to be resettled with land is about 360 households/360 land plots. The City People's Committee approved the resettlement of 250 plots in land plot DM2, Dai Mo ward, and the rest in Thuong Cat ward; resettlement with houses is expected to be 150 apartments.
The Project Management Board said that, according to the direction of the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee at the meeting on April 15, the site clearance work for 3 sections of Ring Road 2.5 mentioned above must be completed before April 30, 2026.
