Speaking at the event, Argentine Ambassador to Vietnam Marcos Antonio Bednarski said that Argentina chose to open the sixth full-time office in the world in Vietnam because it is one of the most dynamic economies in the region.
Vietnam is Argentina's third largest trading partner in the region, after China and India; and the seventh largest trading partner globally. Vietnam is one of the top 5 markets for our agricultural products, said Mr. Bednarski.
The two countries have established a Comprehensive Partnership since 2010, bilateral trade has grown steadily over the years, mainly in the public - agricultural sector.

In fact, the cooperative relationship between the two countries creates conditions for bilateral trade turnover to reach over 4 billion USD by 2024. In the period from January to May 2025, Vietnam's exports to Argentina increased by 243.6% over the same period in 2024.
Some items grew by the order of the numbers, including mobile phones and components increased by 636%; shoes increased by 146%.
According to statistics from the General Department of Customs of Vietnam, Argentina's exports increased by 30.84% in the period from January to May 2025. Total bilateral trade increased by 67.1%.
Dr. Alonso Pablo Ferrando, representative of the Office of Public - Agricultural Sponsor, affirmed that it will contribute to further promoting access to products not only from Argentina to Vietnam, but also support Vietnamese goods to penetrate deeper into the Argentine market.
Deputy Minister of State in charge of Agricultural Products and International integrations, Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Argentina, Mr. Agustin Tejeda Rodriguez said that choosing Hanoi as the place to have the sixth global office is a strategic decision, demonstrating the desire of the Argentine Government to increase its presence in Vietnam.
In the context of many fluctuations in the international arena and disrupted global supply chains, Argentina identifies international trade as the driving force for economic growth. Therefore, the government of this country prioritizes the policy of opening up trade, simplifying procedures, removing barriers and accelerating negotiations to reach favorable agreements for all parties.
Mr. Rodriguez emphasized that Vietnam is considered a strategic partner in this process, not only because of the growing bilateral trade turnover, but also thanks to the potential for extensive cooperation in the coming time.

Sharing at the Argentina - Vietnam Business Opportunities Conference, Mr. Nguyen Quang Vinh, Vice President of the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) assessed Argentina as Vietnam's third largest trading partner in Latin America.
We can expect the prospects for economic and trade cooperation between Vietnam and Argentina with a lot of room for development. Vietnam is not only a market of more than 100 million people, but also a gateway for Argentine businesses to penetrate deep into the global supply chain, especially the ASEAN region. On the contrary, Argentina is the bridge that helps Vietnamese enterprises access the large market of the Mercosur bloc - especially in South America, said Mr. Nguyen Quoc Vinh.
The launching ceremony of the Argentina Department of Industry and Trade Trade Office in Vietnam is an activity within the framework of the visit and work in Vietnam of the Argenitna Civil Servants and Economic - Commercial Delegation from June 30 to July 4.
The delegation was led by the State Department in charge of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Argentina, Mr. Esteban Marzorati, and Deputy State Secretary in charge of Agricultural Products and International integrations, Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Argentina, Mr. Agustin Tejeda Rodriguez.
The official delegation includes Argentine companies in the food and beverage sector and representatives from the following organizations: Argentina Grain and beverage exchange; Center for Poultry Processing Enterprises (CEPA); Oil Processing Industrial and Commercial Association and Cereal Export Center (CIARA - CEC); Argentina meat Processing Industrial Federation (FIFRA) and Argentina Beef Promotion Institute (IPCVA).
