At noon on July 1, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee held a ceremony to hand over personnel decisions to key personnel of advisory and support agencies under the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.
At the ceremony, Mr. Dinh Thanh Nhan - Deputy Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Organization Committee - announced the Politburo's approval decision for Mr. Dang Minh Thong, Member of the Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.
Mr. Dang Minh Thong, 48 years old, has a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Master's degree in civil engineering, and a high level of political theory. He has held the following positions: Secretary of the Ba Ria City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee.
Thus, the Standing Committee of the new Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee currently has 6 members, including:
Mr. Nguyen Van Nen - Politburo member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi - Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.
Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
Mr. Vo Van Minh - Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee (former Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Duong province).
Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.
Mr. Dang Minh Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.
