On September 11, according to data from the Customs Branch of Region VI, in August 2025 alone, the import-export turnover of goods through border gates in Lang Son province reached more than 9 billion USD, an increase of nearly 18% compared to July 2025. This is the highest level since the beginning of 2025.
In the first 8 months of 2025, total import-export turnover through Lang Son border gates reached nearly 59 billion USD, an increase of about 44% over the same period in 2024.
In particular, the turnover in August increased sharply mainly due to the increase in customs goods, especially fresh fruits, agricultural products, seafood, and handicraft wooden furniture of Vietnam. This group of goods alone exported to Lang Son in August, increasing by more than 29% compared to the previous month.
Statistics show that in August alone, more than 67,000 vehicles carrying export goods from Vietnam came to complete procedures at Lang Son border gates, an increase of more than 25% compared to July.
The increased traffic volume shows the attraction of the provincial border gate system in goods trading activities, especially in the Chinese market.
The leader of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee said that from now until the end of 2025, the authorities at Lang Son province's border gates will continue to implement many solutions to create maximum convenience for businesses in the customs clearance process.
The goal is not only to increase import-export turnover, but also increase tax revenue from import-export activities, contributing significantly to the local economic growth.
