Behind is MSB with an interest rate of 9%/year for 12- or 13-month term deposits. The application condition is a newly opened or automatically renewed savings book from January 1, 2018 and having a balance of 500 billion VND or more.
At Cake by VPBank, the listed interest rate ranges from 7.2-7.4%/year. From June 1-30, 2026, the bank implements an additional 1.5 percentage points program for individual customers who deposit savings for the first time from 100,000 VND or more, with terms from 6 months and no pre-term settlement. Thanks to that, the highest actual received interest rate can reach 8.9%/year.
In addition to incentive programs, some banks also apply special interest rates for large value deposits. Vikki Bank lists an interest rate of 7.9%/year for deposits from 999 billion VND or more, term of 13 months, interest paid at the end of the term. This interest rate is calculated by the listed interest rate plus a margin of 1.8 percentage points and does not apply simultaneously to other promotional programs.
Similarly, HDBank applies a special interest rate of 7.2%/year for a 12-month term and 7.6%/year for a 13-month term for customers depositing from 500 billion VND or more, receiving interest at the end of the term.
In the high-listed interest rate group, Saigonbank is applying a rate of 7.9%/year for 13-month online deposits, the highest in this bank's interest rate schedule. MBV lists an interest rate of 7%/year for online deposits with terms from 6-36 months. Meanwhile, Sacombank applies an interest rate of 7%/year for 12-month terms and 7.1%/year for terms from 24-60 months when depositing online savings.
