Vietnam Prosperity Joint Stock Commercial Bank (VPBank) has just updated the deposit interest rate schedule for individual customers depositing at the counter, receiving interest at the end of the term, with fluctuations ranging from 4.75% to 8.9%/year.
Accordingly, VPBank has strongly increased interest rates for many terms, notably the 6-month, 9-month, 12-month and 24-month terms, while the interest rate for the 36-month term is kept unchanged.
For deposits at counters, VPBank divides them into 5 groups of deposit limits to apply different interest rates, including: Under 1 billion VND; from 1 billion to under 3 billion VND; from 3 billion to under 10 billion VND; from 10 billion to under 50 billion VND; and from 50 billion VND or more.
In the online savings channel, VPBank applies higher interest rates than at the counter, and also divides them according to each deposit limit. The highest interest rate is applied to term deposits from 6 to 12 months.
Customers depositing from 100 million VND to under 300 million VND are entitled to interest rates from 4.75% to 8.5%/year. For deposits from 300 million VND to under 1 billion VND, interest rates range from 4.75% to 8.6%/year.
For deposits from 1 billion VND to under 3 billion VND, online interest rates are at 4.75% - 8.7%/year. Deposits from 3 billion VND to under 10 billion VND are entitled to interest rates from 4.75% to 8.8%/year.
Notably, customers depositing online from 50 billion VND or more can enjoy the highest interest rate of up to 9%/year, applied to terms from 6 to 12 months.
