On the morning of August 15, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee said that Mr. Ho Van Muoi - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee had just worked with the Green Economics Institute on implementing the following contents after the Vietnam - Cuba Medical Technology Cooperation Workshop, held in Lam Dong in June.
The Green Economics Institute would like to plan to develop and implement the project "Vietnam - Cuba Biotechnology Development Cooperation Program" to implement Resolution 57.

At the same time, it is proposed to select Sancti Spiritus province of Cuba - a locality with strengths in agriculture, cultural tourism and medical technology to join Lam Dong province on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of Vietnam - Cuba diplomatic relations.
This initiative aims to turn Lam Dong into a "biotechnology valley", an international model for the application of science, deep processing and circular economy in agriculture, healthcare, and sustainable tourism. Thereby contributing to raising the province's position in the international arena.
The two sides agreed on key cooperation directions including: research, development and clinical science and technology; training of high-quality human resources; building a model of experimental production and commercialization of biological products.
This is a step to concretize Resolution 57 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi emphasized that the connection with Sancti Spiritus province and the cooperation in building a "bio-technology valley" complex will help Lam Dong attract international cooperation, develop high technology and create an impression on culture, science and tourism.
He agreed on the cooperation policy between Havana University and universities in Lam Dong, and suggested that the Green Economics Institute soon complete the dossier to request a signing policy to open up opportunities for sustainable cooperation between the two localities.
