On July 7, Phu Quoc Special Zone People's Committee coordinated with INVESTIP Industrial Ownership Joint Stock Company and An Giang Provincial Department of Science and Technology to organize a consultation workshop to collect opinions from relevant agencies, units, organizations, and individuals on the dossier for registration of trademark protection certificate "Phu Quoc fish cake". Thereby, aiming to complete the dossier, improve the value of local characteristic products and contribute to building and developing the Phu Quoc fish cake brand in the market.
At the workshop, delegates focused on exchanging and contributing opinions on important contents such as: selecting the owner of the certified trademark; trademark samples, lists of products bearing the certified trademark; draft regulations on management and use of the certified trademark; maps of geographical areas corresponding to the certified trademark and descriptions of characteristics and quality of certified products.
In addition, the workshop also took opinions on the draft regulations on the issuance, amendment, extension, and revocation of the right to use the "Phu Quoc fish cake" certification trademark; exchanged ideas on building a brand identity system to create unity in promotion, improve the value and competitiveness of products in the market.
In particular, the consulting unit has introduced 5 proposed options for the "Phu Quoc fish cake" logo identification kit for agencies, units, organizations and delegates to participate in research, contribute opinions, and choose appropriate options.
Building a unified brand identity will contribute to affirming the origin, quality, traditional values, and at the same time create a unique mark for Phu Quoc fish cake products in promotion, trade and tourism activities. The opinions contributed at the workshop are an important basis to continue to complete the dossier for registration of trademark protection certificate "Phu Quoc fish cake", contributing to protecting product reputation, promoting the value of local specialties, associated with the sustainable economic and tourism development orientation of Phu Quoc in the coming time.
