On the morning of January 29 (the first day of the Lunar New Year), at La Lay International Border Gate (Dakrong District, Quang Tri Province), Hoang Dung Quang Tri Import-Export Company Limited (Dong Luong Ward, Dong Ha City, Quang Tri Province) came to complete import procedures for a shipment of various types of wood.
This wood shipment has a turnover of 156,385.7 USD and the tax paid to the state budget is over 300 million VND.
Right from the beginning of the year, La Lay Border Gate Customs Branch (Quang Tri Provincial Customs Department) has developed a plan to organize the implementation of the key work program for 2025, synchronously deploying solutions to effectively implement 10 groups of solutions and 38 specific tasks.
As of January 28, La Lay Border Gate Customs Branch has carried out customs procedures for 7,130 vehicles entering and exiting the country, 19,221 passengers entering and exiting the country, 240 import and export declarations with a turnover of 17.26 million USD, and the amount paid to the state budget reached 34.78 billion VND (an increase of 115% over the same period in 2024).
At Lao Bao International Border Gate (Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province), Lao Bao Border Gate Customs Branch (Quang Tri Provincial Customs Department) has completed customs clearance procedures for many vehicles and import and export goods.
The first imported shipment at this border gate was sugar from Minh Tuan DTT Trading and Service Company Limited located in Tay Chin Hamlet (Lao Bao Town, Huong Hoa District, Quang Tri Province). With 240 tons of imported sugar from the above enterprise, the tax collected was more than 380 million VND.
It is known that from January 1, 2025 to January 28, 2025, the import-export turnover through Lao Bao International Border Gate reached 53.93 million USD; the number of vehicles entering and exiting the country reached 19,552; the value of transit goods reached 531.4 million USD; the total state budget revenue reached 25.8 billion VND.
The leader of Lao Bao Border Gate Customs Branch said that during the Lunar New Year, the customs force at this border gate worked normally. All vehicles and people passing through had their procedures processed in accordance with regulations.
On the first day of the year, the number of goods and people passing through the two international border gates in Quang Tri was not much, while the officers of the La Lay Border Gate Customs Branch and Lao Bao Border Gate Customs Branch were fully deployed, so the procedures were done quickly.
