Lao Cai - Sand and gravel mine on the Red River, stretching through 5 communes, is about to be auctioned.

According to PV's investigation, Nhat An Phu Joint Venture Auction Company (Lao Cai Branch 2) recently issued a notice inviting participation in the auction of mineral exploitation rights for sand and gravel mines on the Red River.

This sand mine is located in Mau A, Xuan Ai, Dong Cuong, Lam Giang and Chau Que communes. The area currently has no exploration results.

According to the announcement, the total area of the mine is about 30ha, divided into 4 zones, with an estimated reserve of more than 1.27 million m3. Of which, sand accounts for the majority with more than 1.16 million m3, and the rest is about 109,000 m3 of gravel.

The starting price of the auction (estimated mineral exploitation rights fees) was offered at more than 14.7 billion VND. The price step applies according to a ratio of 50% of the starting price.

Participants must deposit more than 1.36 billion VND, equivalent to the minimum financial capacity requirement. The cost of buying documents is 1 million VND/set.

Notably, the estimate of the mineral exploration project is also determined at over 1.36 billion VND. In addition to the main exploitation area, the mine also has an auxiliary area of about 0.44ha.

The auction session is organized in the form of direct voting, bidding method, with a maximum of 10 rounds.

In the first round, participants must bid at least equal to the starting price plus at least one price step. From the second round, the starting price will be the highest price of the previous round, and each bid must increase by at least one price step.

The auction is expected to take place at 2:30 PM on May 26th at the Hall of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lao Cai province.
