Since 2024- now, many banks have built and implemented in fact the large number of initiatives to improve the operation process, digital conversion, some banks have> 100 initiatives/year, typically: BIDV (299 initiatives/total number of 729 initiatives/year); TPBank (135 initiatives /150 initiatives); Agribank (120 initiatives); VIB (101 initiatives); VietinBank (100 initiatives); Shinhan Bank Vietnam (69/166 initiatives); Vietcombank (98 initiatives);
At the same time, the number of officers of banks who have been trained in digital transformation, technology, and artificial intelligence in the period from 2022 to May 15, 2025 also recorded very impressive figures from: typical Vietinbank (90.825 classes); MB Bank (55,402 classes); Techcombank (50,942 classes); Agribank (47,148 classes); BIDV (38,985 classes); VIB (35,627 classes).

Launching emulation, Permanent Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Dao Minh Tu said that on May 26, 2025, the Governor of the State Bank launched the emulation movement "The whole country competes in innovation and digital transformation" and the movement " incubate digital education" in document No. 4189/NHNN-TCCB.
The Deputy Governor said that the launch of this emulation movement is particularly important, expressing the spirit, determination and efforts of the whole banking industry in striving to successfully complete the political tasks assigned by the Party and the State. Especially the goals and tasks set out in Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo, the emulation movement "The whole country emulation innovation and digital conversion" and the "popular digital education" movement of the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam ... The Deputy Governor called on all cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the banking sector to be determined, make efforts to overcome all difficulties and challenges, join hands, be unanimous, and enthusiastically compete to strive to excellently complete the set goals and tasks. I request that heads of units organize and implement emulation movements in a comprehensive, extensive and synchronous manner to each unit.
Mobilize all cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers to compete in studying, practicing digital skills, and actively participating in the digital transformation process. Cadres, Party members, and pioneering and exemplary unit leaders contribute to spreading the spirit of self-study, self-improvement of knowledge and digital skills, practice, improve and apply digital knowledge according to each person's personal needs.

Concluding the Conference, Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Hong shared that digital transformation must start with changing thinking and awareness. Every cadre in the banking industry, regardless of their position, must improve their digital knowledge.
The Governor stated that digital transformation of the banking industry plays an important role in promoting digital transformation of other sectors and fields in the economy.
The State Bank has established a steering committee and assisting team of the banking industry on scientific and technological development, innovation, digital transformation and project 06, and at the same time identifying and developing plans, specific, clear, clear, consistent planning groups with the Government's plan and the industry's development plan.
Accordingly, the key tasks of the banking sector include raising awareness, innovating thinking; Completing institutions and policies; Strengthening investment, perfecting infrastructure; Developing and promoting talent and high-quality human resources; Promoting digital transformation, improving management efficiency; Promoting scientific, technological activities, innovation; Strengthening international cooperation.
Governor Nguyen Thi Hong emphasized that all cadres and employees, if they have the conditions to be sent to school, must make the most of the knowledge they have been trained. However, for those who have not had the opportunity to participate in courses, it is necessary to promote the spirit of self-study and proactively update knowledge.
Regarding digital transformation, the Governor proposed to study Vietnamese and English in parallel and combine them with spoken books to be able to flexibly absorb knowledge anytime, anywhere. Learning by this method not only helps improve digital technology skills but also improves foreign language proficiency, thereby increasing the ability to integrate internationally.
In addition, sharing knowledge and experience after studying is extremely necessary. Those who have participated in training courses should actively share with colleagues who are not yet qualified to participate.
The Governor also quoted President Ho Chi Minh's teachings: "Study, learn more, learn forever". This is the foundation for building a "digital education" movement in the new era.
Finally, the Governor hopes that the entire banking industry will remember that studying is only truly meaningful when associated with action, with daily work practice.
