On October 18, the People's Committee of Ca Mau province announced that the 2nd Ca Mau Crab Festival had approved the official plan.

Cai Bat Cooperative is a pioneer in attaching QR codes to its Ca Mau crab brand. The cooperative has mobilized members to develop an intercropping crab farming model in the organic shrimp farming area, creating high-quality crab products that do not contain antibiotic or chemical residues and ensure supply to the market.

Director of the Southern Agricultural Service Cooperative Nguyen Van Hai said that the cooperative is operating the technology of crab farming using new technology, not farming in ponds but on the shore but still ensuring quality, deliciousness, nutrition, not using chemicals that affect the growth process of crabs but treating them by biological methods to change the water environment so that crabs can adapt to their own transformation.
Mr. Hai said: Our Ca Mau herring products are favored by domestic and foreign customers, especially in Muslim countries.

Ca Mau has an area of over 90,000 hectares of mangrove forest, an ideal environment for the crab industry to develop along with the form of shrimp farming combined under the forest canopy. Ca Mau crabs are certified for ecology, organic, and other certifications (GlobalGAP, naturland, BAP, EU, ASC, Selva Shrimp, VietGAP) with nearly 20,000 hectares, with an output of about 2,000 tons.
