On May 10, information from the People's Committee of Nghe An province said that in the first 4 months of 2026, the locality attracted more than 2.2 billion USD of foreign direct investment (FDI), ranking 2nd in the country and accounting for nearly 15% of the total registered capital nationwide.
This result shows the increasing attraction of Nghe An in the fields of industry, manufacturing and industrial park infrastructure development.

Currently, many large industrial parks in the area such as VSIP Nghe An, WHA Industrial Zone and Southeast Economic Zone are becoming destinations for many FDI enterprises operating in the fields of electronics, garment, supporting industries and export production.
Many large-scale projects being implemented have contributed to forming new industrial growth poles, creating a spillover effect in attracting investment and creating jobs for local workers.
Along with attracting large corporations, Nghe An also orients to promote linkages between businesses in the province and FDI enterprises to form a production supply chain, increase added value and develop sustainable industry.
According to leaders of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee, in the coming time, the province will continue to focus on completing industrial park infrastructure, developing logistics, promoting digital transformation and training high-quality human resources to effectively utilize FDI capital flows, towards the goal of sustainable growth.
