Strengthen inspection and supervision
Faced with unpredictable fluctuations in the world energy market, functional agencies of Nghe An province are strengthening inspection and supervision of gasoline and oil business activities in the area. Market management forces closely monitor grassroots levels, promptly detect and handle violations, contributing to stabilizing supply and preventing speculation and hoarding.
According to reporters' records on the morning of March 8, after gasoline and oil prices were adjusted to increase, at many retail stores in the province, the number of people coming to buy fuel was quite large.

At a gas station in Thanh Vinh ward, Nghe An province, selling prices are fully and publicly listed according to regulations. Although the number of vehicles entering and leaving is continuous, gasoline and oil sales still take place normally.
Mr. Bui Van Chung - Head of Market Management Team No. 3 - said that immediately after receiving instructions from the Nghe An Market Management Sub-Department, the team's forces quickly deployed actual inspections at gasoline and oil business establishments in the area under their responsibility.
“From March 3rd to now, we have organized inspections and supervisions at many gas stations, especially key areas. Inspections show that the stations still maintain normal business operations, fully list prices and sell at prices announced by competent authorities,” Mr. Chung said.
According to Mr. Chung, up to now, the market management force has not detected any cases of gas stations closing or stopping sales. The supply of gasoline and oil in the area is basically still guaranteed, meeting the consumption needs of people and production and business activities.
According to the leader of the Nghe An Market Management Sub-Department, implementing the direction of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the General Department of Market Management and the Nghe An Department of Industry and Trade, the Nghe An Market Management Sub-Department has requested subordinate market management teams to proactively stick to the area, strengthen inspection and supervision of gasoline and oil business activities at retail stores as well as distribution enterprises.
Proactively prevent the risk of supply disruption

According to statistics from the Nghe An Department of Industry and Trade, there are currently more than 600 gasoline and oil business stores in the province. Through inspection and supervision by functional forces, most business establishments still maintain normal operations, publicly list prices and sell goods in accordance with regulations.
Mr. Thai Ba Nam - Director of Petrolimex Nghe An Co., Ltd. - said that the unit is currently one of the key gasoline and oil suppliers in the locality. The enterprise is managing 86 directly affiliated retail stores and supplying gasoline and oil to more than 100 franchised stores in the area.
According to Mr. Nam, currently, the gasoline and oil supply in the area is still stable. The company's warehouses are stockpiling more than 14 million liters of gasoline and oil of all kinds, enough to supply the market in the next 12 days.
The enterprise's source of goods is mainly taken from Nghi Son Refinery and Dung Quat Oil Refinery, so it basically meets the consumption needs of people and production and business activities in the province.
To limit the situation of stockpiling gasoline and oil when the market fluctuates, stores in the system are required not to sell gasoline and oil to people using cans, drums or large capacity containers. At the same time, stores must maintain normal sales operations, not to sell in small quantities or refuse to serve customers.
