In the first 5 months of 2026, Phu Tho attracted more than 1.3 billion USD of foreign direct investment (FDI), about 3.6 times higher than the same period last year and completed 82% of the full-year plan.
Behind that result are long-distance business trips of provincial leaders to China, Japan and many other countries to introduce potential, seek and open up new cooperation opportunities for the province.
In China - one of the most potential markets, leaders of Phu Tho province have continuously had working sessions with large corporations in fields such as electric vehicle production, technology, and energy.
In investment promotion sessions, the story of Phu Tho's strategic position after the merger, the increasingly complete transportation infrastructure system and the open investment and business environment are always introduced as outstanding competitive advantages.
From the auditoriums in Beijing and Shanghai, the message that provincial leaders carry is always consistent: Phu Tho is not only ready to welcome investors but also accompanies businesses throughout the project implementation process.
With Japan, a place famous for its strictness in choosing investment destinations, the working sessions of the Phu Tho provincial delegation are always prepared methodically and thoroughly.

Thanks to the combination of promoting investment abroad and strongly improving the investment environment in the province, FDI capital has continuously flowed to Phu Tho in the first months of the year.
Many large-scale projects in the fields of electronics, high technology, and processing and manufacturing industry have been licensed or are completing implementation procedures.
The figure of more than 1.3 billion USD of FDI capital after only 5 months is not simply an achievement in attracting investment. It is also proof of the effectiveness of action thinking, proactively seeking opportunities and the spirit of accompanying businesses that Phu Tho is persistently pursuing.
Extended flights from Vietnam to China, Japan and many other countries have carried the aspiration for development of the nation's ancestral land.
