Ninh Binh Provincial Police and the Provincial Department of Industry and Trade have just issued a plan to coordinate a general review, inspection, detection, and handling of violations of laws related to food safety in the province.
According to the plan, Ninh Binh Provincial Police and the Provincial Department of Industry and Trade will strengthen close and effective coordination in implementing directives of the Party and State and legal regulations on food safety. The implementation is set out according to the motto "clear goals - clear forces - clear results - countable", associated with the responsibility of the head, in order to mobilize maximum resources to detect, prevent, and strictly handle violations.
The Provincial Police and the Department of Industry and Trade identified the key task as resolutely fighting against acts, organizations, and individuals violating food safety regulations, especially fake food, food of unknown origin, and poor quality food. Violations in the production, processing, preservation, transportation, trading, advertising, marketing and consumption of food, food additives, chemicals, and biological products are also subject to review and inspection.
The plan emphasizes the requirement to handle violations in accordance with regulations, without forbidden zones, without exceptions. Typical cases will be selected for wide public disclosure, thereby increasing deterrence, education and general prevention in the community.
Notably, online business activities are also included in the monitoring and inspection area. Functional forces will review accounts on e-commerce platforms, social networks such as Facebook, Zalo-shop, TikTok Shop, Instagram Shopping, Fanpage, livestream sales; especially accounts with signs of using the same phone number, product images repeated many times, erasing expiry dates, using unclear addresses or contact information, using technology, artificial intelligence or the influence of KOC, KOL to advertise and sell goods.
People are encouraged to actively provide information and denounce violations of food safety laws through hotlines, VNeID applications and other appropriate forms. In addition, publicize hotline phone number 069.286.0371 to receive reports and denunciations of crimes and violations of food safety laws.
