The agency was established under Decision No. 1449/QD-UBND of the People's Committee of Binh Duong province. Mr. Vo Son Dien - Marketing Executive Director of Becamex IDC Corporation was elected as Chairman of BASI for the first term.
Speaking at the congress, Mr. Vo Son Dien said that Binh Duong has more than 30 industrial parks and more than 4,000 FDI enterprises in operation. The demand for supporting industries in Binh Duong is huge. However, businesses currently lack a representative organization to connect, support technological innovation, promote trade and protect rights.
According to Mr. Vo Son Dien, B Inc was born to meet that need, establish a connecting structure between businesses and the government, between domestic production and FDI businesses... B Inc will play a strategic role in improving production quality, promoting digital transformation, greening the supply chain and developing technical human resources...
The Association brings together hundreds of enterprises in key areas such as mechanics, electronics, new materials, automobiles, etc.
Speaking at the congress, Mr. Bui Minh Tri - Vice Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee, highly appreciated the establishment of BASI. Mr. Tri affirmed: The provincial leaders always consider businesses as a driving force for development, in which supporting industry is a strategic priority area. The province will continue to remove difficulties, reform administrative procedures and create a favorable environment for businesses to confidently invest in production".
Mr. Tri hopes that the Association will promote its role as a bridge between businesses - the state - the international market, contributing to making Binh Duong a modern and sustainable industrial center.
Promoting localization, supporting businesses to access the market
According to businesses, the supporting industry market in Vietnam is worth about 50 billion USD. However, most domestic enterprises still mainly process, depending on the import of components and intermediate materials.
The establishment of B Inc will contribute to promoting localization, supporting businesses to access the market, enhancing linkages and gradually participating more deeply in the global supply chain.
