On June 25, the Hanoi Market Management Department said that Market Management Team No. 11, Hanoi Market Management Department has just coordinated with Phu Luong Ward Police to inspect a cosmetics collection point at Van Noi service land area, residential group 2, Phu Luong ward, Hanoi owned by Mr. Do Huu Tung.
Specifically, on June 17, 2026, Market Management Team No. 11 coordinated with Phu Luong Ward Police to inspect a goods gathering point at Van Noi service land, residential group 2, Phu Luong ward. Through inspection, functional forces discovered 57,000 masks bearing the BANOBAGI brand with many different product lines, on the packaging showing "Made in Korea" origin.
All goods did not have invoices or documents proving legal origin and showed signs of counterfeiting the BANOBAGI brand being protected in Vietnam.
On the same day of inspection, Market Management Team No. 11 requested C-YOON Vietnam Co., Ltd. - the unit representing the rights to the BANOBAGI brand in Vietnam - to verify the origin of the shipment.
On June 18, 2026, C-YOON Vietnam Co., Ltd. issued a document confirming that all 57,000 masks being temporarily seized are not products of BANOBAGI, are not manufactured by the company and are not allowed to be distributed in Vietnam. According to the enterprise, these are counterfeit goods bearing the BANOBAGI brand that has been protected in Vietnam.
Recognizing that the case showed signs of crime under Article 226 of the Penal Code, Market Management Team No. 11 coordinated with Phu Luong Ward Police to complete the file and transfer all exhibits and the case to competent authorities for further investigation and handling according to the provisions of law.
