On May 23, Ninh Binh Provincial Police said that Hai Thinh Commune Police had just coordinated with Market Management Team No. 5 under the Provincial Market Management Sub-Department and Hai Thinh Commune Economic Department to inspect the compliance with the law in the business of goods and services for business households owned by Ms. Vu Thi P.
During the inspection, functional forces discovered that the above establishment was selling some items such as sandals, crossbody bags, backpacks, handbags, hats, and clothes bearing trademarks being protected in Vietnam.
At the time of inspection, the facility owner could not present invoices and documents proving the legal origin of the above goods; and also could not provide documents related to the permission to use trademarks or authorization documents of trademark owners as prescribed.
Functional forces have made a record and temporarily seized all goods showing signs of trademark counterfeiting to continue verifying, clarifying and handling according to the provisions of law.
Hai Thinh Commune Police recommends that business households raise awareness of law compliance in commercial activities, absolutely do not trade in counterfeit goods, fake goods, and goods infringing intellectual property rights; contributing to protecting consumer rights and maintaining a healthy business environment in the area.
