At about 6:30 p.m. on June 4, the Department of Investigation Police on Corruption, Economic Crimes, Smuggling, and Environmental Crimes coordinated with functional units to inspect Duong Bang Luxury Business Household, located on Mai Thi Tot Street, Ward 1, Tan An City.
This establishment is owned by Mr. Nguyen Manh Bang (born in 1995), residing in Trung Cao village, Trung Hoa commune, Chuong My district, Hanoi city.
The business household operates mainly on the social network Facebook, selling handbags, watches... with famous foreign brands such as Rolex, Hublot, Gucci, Dior, Hermes...
Through inspection, the authorities discovered and recorded the temporary detention of 260 products, including: 63 Louis Vuitton brand handbags, 39 Gucci brand handbags, 24 Dior brand handbags, 46 Hermes brand handbags, 31 Rolex watches and 57 Hublot watches.
The total value of the goods is estimated at about 700 million VND.
At the time of inspection, the business owner could not present invoices or documents proving the origin of all the goods.
While the authorities are collecting evidence and consolidating records to handle the case, at around 6:30 p.m. on June 9, the Department of Investigation Police on Corruption, Economic Crimes, Smuggling, and Environmental Crimes continued to detect subjects with signs of recidivism, continuing to trade in goods of unknown origin.
The authorities coordinated to conduct a second inspection, seizing 88 more products including: 30 Louis Vuitton wallets, 25 Gucci wallets, 25 Gucci hats, 6 Hermes hats and 2 Louis Vuitton hats. The total value of the shipment is estimated at about 100 million VND.
All of these products do not have invoices or documents proving their origin.
Currently, the authorities are urgently investigating and consolidating the case file to handle the case according to the law.
