Potential land attracts the attention of many investors
Recently, Electronic Tripod Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Tripod Group) has leased 18 hectares of land in Chau Duc Industrial Park (IP) to invest 250 million USD to build a factory. After completion, the factory will create jobs for more than 1,700 highly skilled workers.
This electronic circuit board manufacturing enterprise with a revenue of billions of USD/year decided to choose Chau Duc district for investment, because after research and evaluation, this place met many favorable criteria for production and business activities.
WHA Group (a leading enterprise in investing in industrial park infrastructure in Thailand) also highly appreciates Chau Duc's industrial development potential.
According to the representative of this enterprise, Chau Duc has the advantage of geographical location near Cai Mep - Thi Vai seaport and Long Thanh international airport; this will be further enhanced when the regional transport infrastructure is completed. Therefore, WHA is also proposing to invest in a smart eco-industrial park project, with a scale of 1,200 hectares in the area.
Together with foreign investors, Vina One Steel Joint Stock Company has decided to invest VND2,500 billion in a factory on an area of over 12 hectares in Chau Duc Industrial Park. Many other investment projects here with smaller scale have also just been licensed for implementation.
Developing Chau Duc but must ensure green growth
According to the Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, the west of Chau Duc district is located in the industrial and seaport functional area, belonging to the industrial - logistics economic driving force axis.
In addition to the two existing industrial parks, Chau Duc and Da Bac, the locality is planning to develop six more industrial parks with a total area of 6,200 hectares, which will become the place with the largest concentrated industrial development area in Ba Ria - Vung Tau.
Mr. Nguyen Tan Ban - Chairman of Chau Duc District People's Committee - said that with the development orientation and the plans being implemented synchronously, he believes that the locality will continue to attract strategic investors in the industrial sector. Thereby helping the socio-economic development to develop remarkably in the coming time.
The policy of the province and the district has determined to attract high-quality, selective investment, using high technology but must protect and be friendly to the environment. At the same time, deploy solutions to train and retain high-quality human resources on the spot, to develop real industry.
The development process will change the economic structure and the proportion of industry, but that does not mean that agriculture will be affected but will develop together with other sectors. The agricultural area will not decrease, but will be restructured according to the value chain for sustainable development.
