Mr. Nguyen Minh Chien - Head of Binh Phuoc Economic Zone Management Board - said that Binh Phuoc province currently has 15 industrial parks approved by the Prime Minister, of which 13 industrial parks have been put into operation (with about 4,600 hectares). The province has attracted 290 foreign enterprises with over 4 billion USD of foreign investment capital and over 18,000 billion VND of domestic investment capital.
The projects have created jobs for about 72,000 workers, including over 1,000 foreign workers.
According to the plan by 2050, Binh Phuoc province will develop about 18,000 hectares of industrial land, distributed and divided into 35 to 40 industrial parks.
The industrial parks to be built here will be oriented to be green, modern, using a lot of machinery, limiting the impact on the environment. In the remote area, adjacent to Hoa Lu border gate, there will be 2 supporting industrial parks: electroplating and dyeing to serve the industrial parks in the province.
Regarding workers working in industrial zones, the province will have policies to attract and train workers. The province also plans land for social housing construction to create a premise to attract workers to the province.
In addition, the province has a policy of attracting businesses to invest in high technology, modern machinery, and robots for production, increasing automation and reducing manual labor.
A representative of the Department of Planning and Investment of Binh Phuoc province said that in the coming time, Binh Phuoc province will focus on investing in developing transport infrastructure to better connect with the Central Highlands and the Southeast provinces. In particular, on December 14, the province will break ground on the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway, the section passing through Binh Phuoc.
