Recently, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and Thanh Nien Newspaper announced the project “Connecting Warm Hands”, in collaboration with PNJ and the Golden Faith Fund. The program aims to provide practical educational support to children in areas affected by natural disasters.
Joining hands to support the people of the North, Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company (PNJ) actively participated in human and material resources to initiate the project "Connecting Warm Hands" and contributed 3 billion VND to the implementation.
Supporting books, learning tools, repairing schools... for children is a new direction implemented by the "Connecting Warm Hands" project to resonate with existing support programs for necessities of other organizations and groups. All aim to help children in particular and people in flood-affected areas in general to soon stabilize their lives.
Ms. Cao Thi Ngoc Dung - Chairwoman of PNJ Board of Directors, also Chairwoman of the Board of Management of the Golden Trust Fund shared: “PNJ and the Golden Trust Fund aim at practical projects to improve living conditions and environment for women and children in difficult circumstances, with the aim of building a foundation for positive, long-term development for the community. In the context that many organizations have focused on supporting necessities, PNJ and the Golden Trust Fund decided to join hands to continue the post-disaster reconstruction in the educational aspect, through supporting books, learning tools, contributing to renovating classrooms to help children return to school and regain balance after many losses.”
Funds raised from the “Warm Hands” project are used to purchase educational equipment and books, contributing to encouraging and creating conditions for children to return to school.
The project is expected to be implemented immediately after its announcement on September 17, 2024 until schools are stable. The program is a meaningful activity, strongly demonstrating the spirit of mutual love of the Vietnamese people with the message "All people unite - Joining hands together".
Ms. Cao Thi Ngoc Dung added that throughout the 36-year development journey as well as the process of building future orientation, PNJ has always been associated with sustainable development. That philosophy has affirmed the right direction that PNJ has always pursued since its early days of establishment, always "putting customer interests and social interests into the interests of the enterprise".
In addition to accompanying the "Warm Hands" project this time, over the past 36 years, PNJ has implemented many meaningful activities that bring value to the community such as: the "0 Dong Mini Supermarket" program series, the "Giving Birth Companion" program, the "Raising Awareness of Autism in Vietnamese Children" project, the "Happy Young Family" project, donating nearly 500 Trust Shelters...
PNJ's community mark in recent times is a pioneering business model with many specific and practical activities and is a clear demonstration of the comprehensive and balanced implementation of all three pillars E-S-G in the sustainable development strategy.
