Recorded in Hanoi on the 2nd day of Tet, many vermicelli and pho shops maintained their operations as usual. Contrary to the relaxing atmosphere of the first day of the year, inside the shops is a bustling pace of work to promptly serve the increased number of diners.

Mr. Le Hoang Sieu - cashier at bun cha store No. 1 Hang Manh - said that the restaurant is open throughout Tet to meet the food needs of people and tourists.
Right from the 1st day of Tet, the number of customers has increased sharply, at times we no longer have enough tables to serve," he shared.

To maintain operations during peak days, the store adjusted the price of each meal to increase by 10,000 VND. According to Mr. Sieu, this increase is mainly used to pay salaries for employees working throughout Tet. "On normal days, employees are paid 500,000 VND/day, but during Tet, we pay 1 million VND/day to encourage everyone to stay and work," he said.

Not only Mr. Sieu's store, many other eateries also choose to slightly increase selling prices to ensure human resources, because the demand for food and drinks is increasing sharply while not everyone is willing to work in the first days of the new year.
At the old quarter bun rieu restaurant at 92 Hang Ma, the prices of dishes have been slightly adjusted upwards, in line with the general level during the Lunar New Year to meet labor costs and raw materials on the first day of the year.

Here, the price adjustment during Tet is publicly announced by the shop owner, clearly listed from the beginning to avoid misunderstandings and ensure transparency with customers in the first days of the year.
Although the selling price has been adjusted up during Tet, the quality of the bowls of vermicelli is still maintained as usual. Thanks to that, the number of diners coming to eat and drink is still crowded, and restaurants are always in a bustling state.

At Ms. Chien's bun rieu restaurant at 63 Phung Hung, the restaurant owner has proactively posted price adjustment notices right in front of the door so that diners can easily follow and grasp information before eating during Tet.

Customers coming to eat at the restaurant are mainly families and groups of young people taking advantage of spring travel, stopping to enjoy a hot bowl of vermicelli soup in the cool early year weather. Many diners said that the restaurant clearly announcing prices helps them feel secure and comfortable when eating.
