In the afternoon of February 18 (ie, the 2nd day of Tet), the road from Kien An to Tien Lang, Vinh Bao area was heavily congested. According to people's reflections, the road section from Khue bridge to Den bridge (Tien Lang), the line of cars is kilometers long. In the direction from Khue bridge to Den bridge, cars travel in 3-4 rows causing congestion. While in the opposite direction, cars can only "circumvent" 1 row of cars.
Many people reflected that the congestion in this area lasted from about 10 am this morning. Reader Tran Giang said that this noon, her family went from Nguyet bridge (An Lao) to Den bridge (Tien Lang) for more than an hour (usually only about 20 minutes). According to reader Thai Nguyen, the Den bridge area was heavily congested due to 4 car lanes jostling each other, it took more than 1 hour to escape the congestion section.
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Do Viet Hoang (Hai Phong) said that at about 3 pm on the 2nd day of Tet, Mr. Hoang moved through the Black Bridge area to wish Tet to relatives.
According to Mr. Hoang, the section near the factory gate is wider, and near Den bridge, the road is narrowed, so the traffic is congested, cars go in 4 lanes from Khue bridge, so the congestion is prolonged. Cars move inch by inch, struggling to pass through the congested road section. Due to traffic jams, Mr. Hoang had to film a video and call home to report later than expected to reassure his family.

Also according to Mr. Hoang, the 10th street area this afternoon was also very crowded. Many of his relatives also struggled to return to their hometowns to reunite for a New Year's meal. Until after 5 pm, the Black Bridge area was still congested.
Outside this area, according to Lao Dong reporters' records, the road to the Kien Thuy area (old) in the morning and afternoon of the 2nd day of Tet, traffic was smooth, and no congestion occurred.
Previously, on February 16, Colonel Nguyen Duc Thin - Deputy Director of the City Police - directed the Traffic Police Department to arrange scientific forces at key routes and areas; strengthen patrols and inspections; do a good job of traffic diversion and regulation, not allowing prolonged congestion to occur; proactively coordinate plans to absolutely protect the security and safety of key targets, projects, cultural and artistic activities, and festivals to celebrate Binh Ngo Spring 2026 taking place in the area.
