Mekong Delta - Many consumers are looking forward to an e-commerce platform dedicated to agricultural products, especially unprocessed agricultural products, for easy shopping.

Looking forward to agricultural e-commerce platform

As someone who loves shopping on e-commerce platforms because of the convenience, Ms. Vo Thi Diem My (Soc Trang province) said that she rarely accesses unprocessed agricultural products. The reason is that in addition to the difficulty in determining product quality, Ms. My is also afraid of ordering on e-commerce platforms, the long shipping time can affect the freshness of agricultural products.

For that reason, Ms. My is looking forward to having an e-commerce platform specializing in selling agricultural products so that she can easily shop: "If this service exists, I think agricultural products should be provided with clear images and traceability codes so that users can choose suitable products and feel secure in using them."

Sharing the same view, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Ngan (Long An province) said that through e-commerce platforms, she almost only buys processed agricultural products such as dried ones that can be preserved for a long time.

According to her, the demand for online shopping of consumers is increasing, if there is an e-commerce platform specializing in agricultural products, it will help consumers buy the desired products: "If there is an e-commerce platform for agricultural products, I can buy the vegetables I want not only in the region but also in other localities such as Da Lat or the North".

Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Man (Soc Trang province) who regularly buys clothing and personal items on e-commerce platforms said that most of the time, the shipping time usually takes 3-4 days, or even longer if it is international goods. If selling agricultural products on e-commerce platforms, the shipping service provider needs to have a way to preserve and ensure that the time to reach consumers is only 1-2 days or preferably within the day so that the product retains the best quality.

Low price, fast shipping

Coming to the Vietnam International Agricultural Fair 2024 taking place in Can Tho City from November 1-5, Phuong Trang Group launched the FuNong e-commerce platform. In the context of the continuous development of the digital economy, the FuNong e-commerce platform was built by Phuong Trang Group with the goal of becoming a specialized e-commerce platform for Vietnamese agricultural products.

Mr. Le Vinh Son - Director of Product Block - In charge of GooPay e-wallet (Phuong Trang Group) - said that with the express delivery system, in addition to dried agricultural products, special agricultural products, fresh agricultural products such as vegetables, tubers, fruits, and seafood will also be transported quickly to help goods reach consumers in the most convenient way, ensuring freshness.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh Nhan - CEO of Phuong Truong Express Joint Stock Company (Phuong Trang Group) - informed that through the FuNong e-commerce platform, agricultural products will go directly from farmers to consumers, bypassing many intermediaries, so the cost and price of the products will be low. The company also supports farmers in tracing the origin to ensure quality, consumers can rest assured when shopping and using.

“For agricultural products on the e-commerce platform, the company will support promotional images so that consumers can access and know more about the products. We also create conditions to introduce agricultural products to the international market. This will be a bridge between the supply and demand of agricultural products. In the coming time, the model will continue to be improved to meet the needs of users,” said Mr. Nhan.
