Strengthening tax management for business households

The Tax Department focuses on researching tax management methods to promote the development of business households.

On October 8, in Hai Duong, the Tax Directorate organized a Northern Regional Conference on promoting tax management for business households and individual businesses; deploying electronic invoices generated from cash registers; and combating fraud and tax evasion in e-commerce business in 2024.

Attending the conference were Mr. Tran Duc Thang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee, representatives of units under the Tax Directorate and representatives of 28 Tax Departments in the Northern region.

Speaking at the Conference, Deputy Directorate of Tax Directorate Mai Son said that with about 10 million workers and about 30% of GDP contributing to the country, individual business households are an important economic sector, not only solving employment, increasing income but also being a large network, developing in remote and difficult areas that other business sectors cannot meet.

With that role and position, according to Deputy Directorate Mai Son, the Tax sector needs to study and change tax management methods to create a favorable business environment, promote business household development, and at the same time ensure correct, sufficient, and timely collection to prevent budget losses.

At the conference, representatives of 28 Tax Departments in the Northern region listened to professional units under the Tax Directorate present reports on the situation of digital transformation and electronicization in tax management for business households and individuals and reports on the situation of combating tax fraud and tax evasion in e-commerce business,...

Thereby recognizing the problems and difficulties and providing management orientations in the coming time.

At the conference, the Tax Departments discussed practical experiences in tax management for business households in the Northern region, and also discussed in depth to find new tax management solutions to help improve the effectiveness of tax management for business households.

Most opinions say that, to ensure tax collection keeps up with the digital age, the electronicization of commercial activities is a trend of the current era, there needs to be strict regulations to ensure a fair business environment between traditional businesses and businesses on digital platforms.

Thereby contributing to increasing revenue for local budgets, ensuring the completion of state budget collection tasks.
