Abundant supply of goods
At large retail systems such as GO! Da Nang supermarket, preparations for the Tet and post-Tet market have been carried out carefully for many months. Representatives of the supermarket said that the unit has developed a plan to stockpile goods from 3 to 4 months before entering the peak period. A noteworthy point is that the supermarket still maintains normal goods receipt throughout the Tet days to ensure food sources, especially fresh goods, always ready and fresh when opening to serve people right from the 1st and 2nd days of Binh Ngo Tet.
Ms. Vo Thi Thu Thuy - Director of GO! Da Nang Supermarket shared: "According to annual practice, the Tet season is the peak shopping season for all customers. Not only GO! Da Nang but the entire GO! system nationwide has planned to import goods early. We expect sales to increase by 10-15% each year, so the amount of goods imported will double, fluctuating around 20-30% compared to the same period last year and compared to normal days.
In addition to serving domestic demand, supermarkets in Da Nang also pay special attention to the sharp increase in the number of international tourists during this occasion, especially tourists from Korea and China. Diversifying designs and types of goods from regional specialties to high-end imported products is considered a key strategy to meet the diverse tastes of tourists, contributing to stimulating consumption and promoting the image of friendly and convenient Da Nang tourism.

Tighten food safety management
In parallel with ensuring the quantity of goods, the issue of quality and food safety (ATTP) is put first by Da Nang city. The City Food Safety Management Board has coordinated with relevant units to implement a synchronous inter-sectoral inspection plan for all three stages: before, during and after Tet. Supervision work is not only focused on traditional markets but is also carried out strictly at supermarkets, shopping centers and food production and business establishments in the area.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Phuc - Deputy Head of the Food Safety Inspection Department, Da Nang City Food Safety Management Board said: "During this Tet holiday, we have implemented continuous inspection to strengthen food safety assurance. The top goal is to prevent and minimize food poisoning cases, and at the same time strictly handle violations of food safety laws, creating a healthy business environment.
A new point in this year's management is the maintenance of 24/7 supervision and readiness to receive feedback from people through hotlines. In addition to planned inspections, functional forces will conduct surprise inspections immediately when there are signs of violations or reports from the community. Strict control from the origin of raw materials to the processing and preservation stages at cold storages and preliminary processing areas is strictly implemented, helping consumers feel completely secure when choosing to buy food to serve family meals during the joyful spring and Tet holidays.
