Gia Lai Department of Finance holds a meeting with officials on recovering money from incorrect expenditures

Gia Lai - Gia Lai Department of Finance will recover a total of more than 5.6 billion VND due to approval of incorrect spending from relevant organizations and individuals.

On March 14, the Gia Lai Department of Finance developed Plan No. 15/KH-STC to overcome limitations, errors and review related personal responsibilities according to the direction of the Provincial People's Committee on the implementation of Conclusion No. 02/KL-TTr of the Provincial Inspectorate.

The Department has assigned specialized departments to urgently carry out tasks to handle violations, while monitoring and urging the recovery of violating funds.

Notably, the Department of Finance will organize a meeting with civil servants and employees to inform about the recovery of more than 3.5 billion VND spent on support and bonuses for holidays and Tet from 2021 to 2023.

In addition, more than 1.1 billion VND spent incorrectly on general tasks, overtime and other expenses will also be recovered from related individuals.

For more than VND758 million spent on contractors (maintenance, technical assistance, software operation, repair, training), the department will work directly with relevant units and send an official dispatch requesting coordination to overcome the problem.

The Department also recovered more than 103.6 million VND from land appraisal funds and other expenditures from incorrect sources, including audit costs, administrative reform in 2020 and inspection costs.

The Director of the Department of Finance assigned the Head of the General Department to monitor and urge the implementation, summarize the results to report to the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Inspectorate according to regulations.
