Diverse goods, stable prices
As Tet approaches, the shopping atmosphere at fashion stores and supermarkets becomes busier than ever. Shelves are filled with new designs, from traditional clothes to modern outfits, meeting the diverse needs of consumers.
This year, Mr. Tran Van Tam - owner of a fashion store on Mau Than Street (Ninh Kieu District, Can Tho City) - has prepared many attractive promotional programs for the Tet season, helping customers easily choose the right outfit at a reasonable price. In particular, many items are priced at 99,000 VND, 129,000 VND and 149,000 VND, even deeply discounted up to 50%.
Running a fashion store on Nguyen Trai Street (Ninh Kieu District, Can Tho City), Mr. Van Huy said that more than a month ago, the store connected with suppliers to import clothes. In addition to clothing products, the store also sells accessories such as shoes, sandals, handbags, socks, hats, etc. to give customers more choices.
Understanding that consumers tend to buy quality products at affordable prices, Mr. Huy has launched many promotional programs such as direct discounts on some products, accumulating points or giving away accessories when the bill reaches the required value.
Extended opening hours
Since December 20, the purchasing power at Mr. Tam’s store has increased dramatically. The number of customers is 2, even 3 times higher than normal days. To meet the shopping needs of the people, Mr. Tam has to continuously import goods and hire more seasonal workers.
“The staff worked at full capacity from arranging clothes on shelves to consulting and helping customers find sizes and models, etc. At closing time, there were still many customers, so we also had employees work overtime to serve them. With outstanding purchasing power, it is expected that revenue can increase by 30-40% this Tet season,” said Mr. Tam.
To ensure that goods are always ready to serve customers, Mr. Huy and his staff have to work around the clock. Thanks to the application of many promotional programs combined with investment in store design and service quality, purchasing power has grown stronger than expected. Mr. Huy estimates that the store's revenue this Tet holiday could increase by over 30%."
According to Mr. Huy, increased purchasing power is a joy for business people, but stores also face some difficulties during peak season such as managing goods, staff and meeting diverse customer needs.
“Meeting the needs of all customers during Tet is a big challenge. The store must constantly monitor and train staff to be able to support customers at all times. We always try our best to bring customers the best shopping experience,” Huy shared.
Meanwhile, at Co.op Mart Can Tho, goods for Tet have been on display since December 1. Purchasing power has also gradually increased and increased most strongly on weekends. Fashion is one of the items that is quite popular at the supermarket.
