To serve customers shopping for Tet this year, businesses have prepared many items from candy, food, to household items, suitable for each consumer segment.
At GO! Thang Long supermarket, talking to reporters, Ms. Thu Hien - an employee at the household goods counter said that people's shopping needs will increase, starting from January 22, which is December 23. Many working days, even though she finished work at 9:00 p.m., she only officially went home around 11:00 p.m. because there were too many customers.
In addition, she also shared: "This year, I see that not only my stall but also many other stalls apply exclusive promotion programs with a variety of products. This helps customers when buying to get direct advice, ensuring quality while the price is still affordable, and sales units also have more revenue and profit."
Supermarkets have prepared very carefully for this year's Tet holiday with a diverse, abundant source of goods and affordable prices. Not only household items, many items such as fruits, vegetables, and candies are discounted from 10 - 20%, helping consumers save some money.
The jam section is the most visited by consumers. Customers crowd around the counters to choose their favorite jams.
The cake section of famous brands is also very crowded. This year, many big brands such as Orion, Kinh Do, Danisa... have introduced eye-catching Tet gift sets with prices above 100,000 VND, attracting a large number of consumers to choose as Tet gifts.
Ms. Nguyen Quyen (Bac Tu Liem district) said that the closer it gets to Tet, the more crowded it will be, so she took advantage of her lunch break to go shopping for Tet.
“Tet is coming so everyone is taking advantage of the time to shop. This year, I will celebrate Tet simply, I only buy some of my family’s favorite cakes and jams and buy a few more bags of candies available at the supermarket as Tet gifts for both sides of the family and friends, not buying too much and hoarding,” said Ms. Quyen.
